I personally enjoy indie games, so I thought I’d recommend this one to you all. Dyson (not the vacuum cleaner) is a simple rts based around trying to take over an asteroid belt. On these asteroids, you can plant trees which grow seedlings, and use them to attack and take over other asteroids. The other tree type you may build is a defense tree. These grow spiked seedlings which protect your asteroid from invading enemy seedlings.

Art Style and Music

I really enjoy the minimalist design of Dyson. Overall it comes together to be an eclectic aesthetic experience with the combination of smooth electronic music, blended colors, and sharp lines.

Gameplay

Dyson’s gameplay is so simple yet oddly addicting. Simplicity is beauty here in that there’s not overwhelmingly too much to worry about. The control scheme is easy to manage. You strictly use your mouse and scroll wheel. You’ll find yourself persistently playing along trying to capture that last asteroid. There are only 6 levels, but it will take you longer to get through these 6 levels than you think.(took me 2 hours to finish level 2, but I’m a slowpoke) As a whole, this game is a great concept, and fits into the genre that I would alike to the game “flow”.
