Fix your Xbox 360!
Posted on May 16th, 2010 2 comments(Click here to get straight to fixing your 360!)
If you’re reading this then it’s happened to you too, right? Your Xbox 360 was fine one minute, and then out of the blue the green ring of light has turned that devilish shade of red.
And now you want to know how you can fix your Xbox 360.
Until now, if you wanted to fix your Xbox 360 yourself, you were limited to some very unusual and unreliable methods. Have you tried the “Towel Trick” fix yet? If you haven’t, steer well clear of it. If you have, then you probably already know that the “Towel Trick” is more likely to set your Xbox on fire than to fix it. I mean, come on, who really believes that wrapping your Xbox 360 in a towel is going to fix anything?
It’s an Internet myth.
And it’s bordering on “myth” to believe you can crack open the case of your Xbox 360 and fix the problem yourself with a soldering iron. The Xbox 360 is a serious piece of high tech kit, not a toaster. You try the “solder” fix and all you’re likely to do is cause more damage and void your warranty. So what does that leave you with?
Well, you could follow Microsoft’s advice and return your Xbox 360 to them to fix on your behalf. But that’s going to set you back $140 plus shipping if your warranty has expired. And you’re not likely to see your console for 6 to 8 weeks, minimum. Doesn’t that sound like a lot of money and fuss just to fix your Xbox 360?Even if your warranty is still valid, there’s still the shipping charge to consider, and you’ll still have the hassle ofpackaging your Xbox 360 up securely for its return to Microsoft. And don’t forget that two-month wait for it to be returned to you.
Thankfully, there are some options. Check out this review of the best 3 xbox repair guides, and decide for yourself. They’re complete solutions to the dreaded red ring of death you’ll encounter when your Xbox 360 suffers a general hardware failure.
Now you really can fix your own Xbox 360, and you’ll do it within 2 hours, guaranteed. To help you on your way, you’ll also receive full customer support from real experts, plus comprehensive video tutorials, showing you the simple steps discovered by tech pros who know the inner workings of the Xbox 360 like the backs of their hands.
(Avoid the costly, unrealistic, and slow methods, and fix your Xbox 360 the only way experts suggest – use The James Dean 3 Red Light Fix Pro.)

Do it yourself
Posted on March 16th, 2010 1 commentIn the olden days of trade and craft we all looked at the world in this form of “mysticism”. In order to learn things people had to travel to these things called “libraries”. They would have to manually turn these thin pieces of wood with ink printed upon them in order to learn about certain subjects! Can you imagine? Read the rest of this entry »

Keep a confident, positive attitude
Posted on March 20th, 2009 4 commentsLet’s face it. Attitude is everything. You’ve heard it many many times before, but what does it actually mean? Attitude is your relationships, job, success, happiness, etc. This is because the world around you is transformed by your perception of it. How you perceive the world is what makes the world real to you. You could almost say everyone lives in their own little “Matrix”. One person’s reality is not necessary the reality of another. One person could feel that the world is ending due to the economic crisis, and another can feel that it’s just any other ordinary day. Read the rest of this entry »

take joy in the small things
Posted on March 16th, 2009 1 commentEveryone faces times in their life where stress can overwhelm you. It can be a combination of school, work, or family. All of these things combined can make life feel like a real grind. People need their own “light at the end of the tunnel” so to speak. Not the morbid, end-of-life “light at the end of the tunnel”, just something you like to do that makes your day a little better, or something to look forward to that makes the ends justify the means. It’s human nature to need a little happiness and fun to keep us going. Without it, we would just go crazy or slip into depression. Read the rest of this entry »

music quickpick – Listen to Tool
Posted on March 15th, 2009 7 commentsHere’s just a quick music recommendation that I have (if you haven’t discovered them already). The reason I recommend these guys is their ability to turn music into more of an artform involving ambience, yet their music also finds powerful ways to convey messages. The evolution of their sound has progressed quite amazingly, and in this same way the listener can follow the trail of thought from earlier albums to new. The impact of their messages has stayed the same throughout their musical career. This means they’ve stayed true to themselves and what they have to say as artists Read the rest of this entry »

Learn to laugh at yourself.
Posted on March 14th, 2009 No commentsLet’s face it. Nobody’s perfect. I don’t think a statement has ever rang more true. Everyone makes mistakes, so instead of feeling like learning from these mistakes is punishment, learn to laugh at yourself. Read the rest of this entry »

Break free from the radio
Posted on March 13th, 2009 17 commentsThese may be harsh words for some, but this is a vital part of my life. Listening to the radio is easy. A lot of people have it playing just by default without much thought to it. This all ties back to pop culture and whatnot, which is all fine and good in its own regard. There’s just one thing about it that really grinds my gears. It absolutely slaughters songs and their likeability. One thing that the radio will never understand is “moderation”. Software Quickpick – Digsby
Posted on March 12th, 2009 2 commentsYou boot up your computer, and what do you do?
*doubleclick on AIM*
*doubleclick on MSN*
*doubleclick on Yahoo*
*double click your web browser to open up Facebook, Myspace, Twitter and Gmail*
Although double-clicking isn’t going to count towards much of your calories burnt for the day, it gets tedious. That’s something we all can agree on. Plus, who likes switching back and forth between IM client windows and the web anyways? Nobody, that’s who.
I have the solution to your jumbled up pile-o-software: Read the rest of this entry »

Play Dyson [Indie Game]
Posted on March 12th, 2009 1 commentI personally enjoy indie games, so I thought I’d recommend this one to you all. Dyson (not the vacuum cleaner) is a simple rts based around trying to take over an asteroid belt. On these asteroids, you can plant trees which grow seedlings, and use them to attack and take over other asteroids. The other tree type you may build is a defense tree. These grow spiked seedlings which protect your asteroid from invading enemy seedlings.
Art Style and Music
I really enjoy the minimalist design of Dyson. Overall it comes together to be an eclectic aesthetic experience with the combination of smooth electronic music, blended colors, and sharp lines.
Gameplay
Dyson’s gameplay is so simple yet oddly addicting. Simplicity is beauty here in that there’s not overwhelmingly too much to worry about. The control scheme is easy to manage. You strictly use your mouse and scroll wheel. You’ll find yourself persistently playing along trying to capture that last asteroid. There are only 6 levels, but it will take you longer to get through these 6 levels than you think.(took me 2 hours to finish level 2, but I’m a slowpoke) As a whole, this game is a great concept, and fits into the genre that I would alike to the game “flow”.

Try new stuff
Posted on March 12th, 2009 1 commentThis one’s a doozy. This should be something that everyone incorporates into their lifestyle if they wish to thrive and be happy. It’s easy to say, “hey, you should try new stuff” and be on my way, but there’s more to it than that. The idea is to keep an open mind, and in order to maintain that you should set goals. It can start small with something like trying 1 new food/hobby/sport/etc a week. Once you get momentum going with this, you can up your personal requirements. Read the rest of this entry »
